ABOUT ME:

I'll start with saying that I think my love of everything glamorous and fetish stemmed from my childhood. I had a crush on all the Disney Princesses and wanted to be just like them. I played dress up all the time. I believe that a lot of our fetishes and desires come from our childhood. Everything we see is programmed into our brains at an early age whether we realize it or not. I think Disney knew what they were doing when they put their curvy Princesses in low cut, fancy dresses!

As I became older I was more aware of the female body and shape and was so eager to look that way and wear the things women wore. When I was about twelve my family moved into a new house with an abandoned house next door. One day I broke in with an old skeleton key from our new house and found a whole room full of vintage dirty magazines! All the women were clad in seamed full fashioned stockings, garter belts, gloves, corsets and bullet bras. I was in heaven. They all had perfectly coiffed hair and red lips to die for. I knew what I wanted to do.

During high school I wore skirts, stockings and heels as often as I could. A lot of fellow students would notice and ask questions about it. When I explained how intrigued I was with what women wore of the past they got interested too! It was really fun telling them about the things I liked and peaking their interest.

Some of my inspirations from the modern world during high school were and still are Dita Von Teese, Ava Garter, Bernie Dexter and many more. (You can't leave out Bettie Page!) I would have pictures of my favorite pin ups on my notebooks and it would really spark some fantastic conversations. I have a tattoo (right forearm) of Dita during one of her famous martini glass routines. It's great how people recognize that it's her almost immediately. Dita is truly a fashion icon and sex symbol of my generation.

I started dabbling in modeling at the age of 17. I did some retro clothing modeling and got help from a few photographers that I knew from my theatre group. Around this time I was employed with Merle Norman Cosmetics as a make up artist and skin care consultant.I spent hours posing in front of the mirror when I was by myself and I was always practicing my make up and hair. I started dying my hair black at around this age as well; I wanted the complete brunette pin up look.

I began collecting vintage and vintage inspired lingering and clothing. My shoe collection kept growing as well as my fetish collection. I was still living with my parents so I didn't have to pay bills. It was nice to be able to buy whatever I wanted and have no expenses except a cell phone bill! (Boy do I miss that!)

As soon as I turned 18 I immediately delved into the fetish side of modeling. I was both nervous and excited for my very first photoshoot but the end product was worth it. I've been modeling and collaborating with wonderful artists of all backgrounds ever since. I enjoy every second of posing for the camera and I'll definitely be sticking around for a while. XOXO, Ava
